Preciosa Lighting is thrilled to announce another major achievement — our Crystal Beat installation, featured at Euroluce 2023 in Milan, has been awarded the iF Design Award 2025. Following the Red Dot Award, this marks a second recognition for this installation, reinforcing our dedication to advancing design and innovation.

The iF Design Award, with nearly 11,000 submissions from 66 countries, reaffirms its status as one of the world’s most esteemed design competitions. Organized by the non-profit iF Design Foundation, the award emphasizes the global significance of design, its social impact, and its ability to inspire innovation for a brighter future.

Crystal Beat impressed the jury with its groundbreaking combination of light and 3D sound, receiving recognition in the Lighting Installation category.

Crystal Beat

Crystal Beat was designed as a conceptual installation, seamlessly blending layered light to create depth and ambiance. Simultaneously, intricate musical compositions immersed visitors, allowing them to see music and hear light.

The installation measured nearly 15 meters in width and 5 meters in height, featuring over 800 intricately handcrafted Bohemian crystal components.

In 2024, Crystal Beat earned a recognition in Red Dot Design Award in the Brands & Communication Design / Light Installation category.

Designers of Crystal Beat

Crystal Beat was created by our Creative Directors, Michael Vasku and Andreas Klug. The installation draws inspiration from the company’s Signature Design, Crystal Grid—a concept that blends orthogonal patterns with the brilliance of crystal. By incorporating hand-blown crystal tubes within a grid structure, it achieves a striking spatial effect through form and illumination.
