At Lázně Běloves, everything begins with water. For over two centuries, mineral springs have shaped the character of this place. Our kinetic installation takes its cue from that source, translating the ever changing movement and vitality of mineral springs into crystal and light.

Vertical cascades of hand-blown transparent crystal spheres descend through the space, each one holding delicate air bubbles within, echoing the gentle effervescence of mineral springs.

Below, a basin with a mirrored surface catches the crystal, light and movement above. The reflection creates the impression of a spring’s bubbling surface.

Suspended from the Crystal Automata system, the cascades gracefully rise and fall in a circular formation, creating a constantly renewing composition and rhythm.

Some projects captivate you from the very first impression, and Lázně Běloves was one of them. What stayed with us was the bubbles enclosed within crystal gradually come to life, echoing the energy of the local spring. The beauty of crystal, the unexpected movement, and the impression of flowing water all reflect the extraordinary power of this place. Our goal was to create a piece that would enhance every visitor’s experience while becoming a natural part of the spa environment. We hope guests will pause by it for a moment, just as they pause at the spring itself.

Martin strives to take advantage of light’s refraction properties, playing with cuts, colours, and shapes.

We set out to create more than a lighting installation. We wanted to tell the story of the water that shaped the identity of this place. The movement, the bubbles, and the fluid, ever-changing composition capture the moment when the healing spring rises to the surface.

Lázně Běloves

Lázně Běloves has grown around its healing mineral springs for over 200 years, becoming renowned for the celebrated Ida mineral water. After a long period of decline, the historic spa is gradually being brought back to life by the City of Náchod. The restoration of the Jakub spring pavilion marks a key chapter in that renewal, with the surrounding park and wider spa grounds set to follow.
